Mr. Bob Teipen - speaking November 15
Five years ago Bob Teipen was fully absorbed in his accounting business, his church family and his wife Sharon, their children and grandchildren. And then he attended a retreat that was to change his life. During the retreat, Bob says, the Holy Spirit made known to him the Lord's will to bring Catholic radio to the state of Indiana. That was a tall order for someone not at all familiar with the communication field. Over the next five years Bob learned a great deal about the industry, met with several radio station owners in Indiana and began to build a group of interested Catholics who joined him in making this dream a reality. God knew what He was doing when he asked Bob Teipen to take this on. A solid, hard working and driving personality makes up the individual who is Bob Teipen. Only through his strength has this come about. Today, WSPM 89.1 FM is proudly broadcasting Catholic Radio of Indiana using the EWTN Radio satellite feed. Catholic Radio of Indiana has filled the hole that existed in the Midwest for Catholic radio broadcasts. Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois all had Catholic radio. Indiana stood out as the isolated state without a station. Many requests were made of EWTN to have broadcasted radio programs available in Indiana. Now, thanks to Bob, it is a reality.
